Who do you think Jesus is? These are just some of the chapter heading in the book by William H. Willimon, a preacher from the states. The book Why Jesus? takes a set of unusual and challenging views of who Jesus was, and is, and with good humour and a very conversational style takes you through each of them.
The most intriguing thing about Christian faith for me is the way the God/Jesus constantly avoids being put safely in a box. All his actions are consistent but they are never what you expect. (And if you think about it a God that could be defined and controlled and delivered exactly what you expected at all times would hardly be a god you would want to worship anyway, you might better worship yourself.) To get some new perspectives on what you think you know about Jesus I recommend this book.
