Approaching a tragedy

It would be wrong to ignore the terrible situation which is still unfolding in Japan as a result of the earthquake there. Rather than try to explain or offer my thoughts on how to respond in these situations I think it better to simply acknowledge the horror of the tragedy that has happened and hold the situation in our prayers.

There are a couple of books however that might provide some approaches to such natural disasters.

Is God to blame? by Gerard J Hughes

The problem of pain by C S Lewis

Why there almost certainly is a God by Keith Ward – which has some interesting thoughts in it about evil and our universe
